The Month of Mary
'O Mary, we crown thee with blossoms today,
Queen of the Angels and Queen of the May.'
The month of May is dedicated to Our Lady, Mary. To mark this, some children walked to St. Oswald's Church and crowned the statue of Our Lady at the Lourdes Grotto with a garland of flowers. This was followed with a May Procession in the school hall for all pupils. It was a reverent and moving act of worship.
