A Miracle in Town! EYFS Nativity 2023
We had a fantastic time on our school trip to Gibside! We spotted an elf and he helped us find all the reindeer food! We followed the trail and save Christmas! We made our own Christmas tree decorations and spent a lovely afternoon in the park!
SNOW DAY! We had so much fun!
Ice Experiment! Today we collected some snow to see what would happen to it at the end of the day. The children were great scientists and predicted that the snow would melt from the heat of the sun and our class heater!

This week we have been looking at circles and triangles! We went on a shape hunt to find as many as we could!
This week Year 2 had a visit from Discovery Zoo linked to thier science. They kindly let us go to have a look at some of the animals! We found out where there live and what they eat! We even saw a snake!
Learning all about Money in Maths Week!
Gross Motor Skills!
The school nurses came to see us and reminded us about the importance of keeping our hands and teeth clean!
This week we started Drawing Club and LOVED it! We are working on our vocabulary and our imagination when we do our own drawing. We even write our own code words and numbers!
Bonfire Night! We talked all about keeping safe near fireworks. We then made some firework glitter pictures and our own edible sparklers!
Our book of the week was Pumpkin Soup! The cat, duck and squirrel have lost their instructions so we made our own pumpkin soup and wrote our own instructions to send back to the animals! We all had a taste and most of us loved it!
Lots of busy children learning!
The Little Red Hen sent us some ingredients to make bread! We had to weigh out our ingredients and knead the bread! We ate it later with some jam! Yum!

Exploring our environment this week!
This week we have been looking at the story The Leaf Thief! We looked the front cover and then made predictions about who we think the leaf thief might be! We found out it was the wind because it is Autumn! We then went on our own leaf hunt!
Judaism Week! We talked about different times we celebrated and then we sequenced the story of Hanukkah!
Our book this week was The Colour Monster. We have enjoyed talking about different feelings and explored colour throughout the classroom!
We have started to build and write our own words in phonics!
Today we went outside on a colour hunt! We could see lots of colours!
