First Holy Communion

Some months after first starting their preparation to receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist, the children finally got to have their ‘First Holy Communion’. It has been a topic of much excitement and discussion in the Year 4 & Year 5 classroom over the past few months.

Although a slightly smaller Mass than usual, due to COVID restrictions, the children, their families and school staff joined together to celebrate this special day. All of the children looked radiant in their dresses and ties.

The children participated in the Mass by saying the bidding prayers and carrying the offertory before the time came for them to receive communion for the first time.

Many thanks to our catechists, teachers, parents and carers and, of course, our children for their dedication and patience. We are looking forward to supporting the children as they continue faith journey.

Congratulations to
