Our school Wellbeing Team has been up and running for a term now. It consists of our SNAG - School Nutrition Action Group representatives, our Wellbeing representatives, Fair Trade representatives and our Daily Mile representatives.
Each pupil has been voted by children in their class to represent them. The group also includes the Healthy School coordinator, our cook and a governor . They meet regularly to discuss healthy eating, wellbeing and fairtrade and how they can support children to make good choices in all aspects of their life. It investigates ways to encourage pupils to have healthy packed lunches, live healthy lifestyles and also live in a fairer world. The Wellbeing Team takes their responsibilities very seriously and will keep you up to date with their projects.
During the Autumn Term we met to discuss Anti Bullying Week and planned the activities that our school would be taking part in. 3 children attended the Super Safety Squad event at the Town Hall and our 8 House Group captains received a Fab Award for their outstanding work on Mental Health Awareness Day. Monitoring the Daily Mile has also been part of our role and we will be introducing Active Homework next term.
In February, we will be planning our Fair Trade Fortnight and plan to take part in Healthy Schools Week in June.
