SATs Meeting Materials

Garage Band

We have been receiving music lessons from Martin from STC Music Service. We have been using an app called Garage Band on our Ipads to produce music. Martin has talked to the Year 6 children about the tempo, key and the structure of songs. We are really enjoying his lessons!

Art

Here is Year 6 trying Mono-printing! The children created a city-scape by using cotton wool to make a mould and rolled it out with acrylic paint. Finally they printed it out; what wonderful pictures!

Geography

During our geography lesson we have been learning all about North America. In this lesson the class was split into five group and asked to research a district of New York City. We researched features such as important land marks, population and the green space in each district. We then presented our findings to the rest of the class.

World Book Day

This week we celebrated World Book Day, the children were asked to come into school dressed as a character from their favourite book. We enjoyed a parade in the hall with the rest of the school to show off everyone's costume. As you see there was an array of wonderful and colourful costumes. Great effort Year 6.

Bikeability-Level 2

This week, Year 6 has took part in Bikeability training. This training develops cycling on single-lane roads with simple junctions and moderate traffic and includes understanding the core functions for safe and responsible cycling.

Holy Week

During Holy Week we remember that Jesus died and rose again to forgive our sins. The Year 6 children followed the Stations of the Cross and respectfully thought about Jesus' way of the cross. At each station the Year 6 class repeated:

We adore you O Christ and we bless you.

Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
