Fun in the snow!
Over the past few days we have had lots of snow, this turned our Outdoor Area into a Winter Wonderland. We were all very excited to get outside! We all got our wellies, coats and 'winter woolies' on to play in the snow. We had lots of fun exploring in the snow; we built snowman, explored the ice in the Mud Kitchen, making footprints and catch the snowflakes as they fell.
Children's Mental Health Week - Dress to Express
This week we have been celebrating, 'Children's Mental Health Week'. We took part in different activities to express ourselves. On Friday, we had a 'Dress to Express Day' where we wore clothes which made us happy and took part in fun activities to express ourselves. During circle time, we shared our thoughts together of what made us happy. During choosing time, we chose our favourite things to do including; playing with peers, building construction, painting our family and working with the playdough. We also joined in to express ourselves with super dance moves, we took part in some of our favourite JumpStart Johnny dances. We had lots of fun this week!
This week we have been starting to take care of our beautiful plants for our Outdoor Area. We decided we wanted to plant flowers in our garden to prepare for Spring. Before we plant the flowers we need to care for them with lots of water and warm sunshine. Every day the Special Helper and a friend of their choice check on the flowers and water them carefully with the watering cans. We are all very excited to plant our flowers in our garden.
A Wiggly Waggly Worm, A Slippery, Slimy Slug
As part of our, 'Big Blue Planet Topic' we have been learning all about Minibeasts this week and we have loved it! We have been on minibeasts hunt in out outdoor area, we have been minibeast explorers in the role play area and much more. We have really enjoyed finding real minibeasts and applying our knowledge to different activities.
