PE - Fantastic 4
We have been taking part in the Fantastic 4 challenges that have been set by Rise, a local charity whose aim is to promote physical activity in the North East. Our first 4 challenges were Boccia activities. These were: Bucket Throw, Skittles, Paper Fold and Toilet Roll Gate.
Each activity has been so much fun and the more times we practised the better we got.
Maths - Measuring
In our Maths lesson we started by estimating how long a metre, a metre and a half and two metres are. We then went on to measure out the size of dinosaurs. We couldn’t believe how big the Stegosaurus was and how much smaller the Velociraptor was.
We have been learning about Pushing and Pulling forces. Firstly, we created freeze frames showing different forces during different sports and then we looked at the forces use when working on the gym equipment.
South Tyneside hospital wrote a letter to our school asking us to create some Easter work to decorate the children’s ward with. We created some bunny art by adding splodges of paint and scraping it with a bit of card to create a marbled effect. Needless to say we were covered in paint, as was the classroom, but we had so much fun doing it Mrs Price let us off hehe. Five children had their work chosen for the hospital and those children were: Blake, Jayden, Jacob, Lily-Mae and Oscar. Well done!
Mother’s Day Cards
We really enjoyed making cards for the special ladies in our lives.
