On Monday Year 4 had a visitor who taught them about the Normans. He taught us a lot of facts about education and their life styles. At the end of the day we went into the hall with our paper shields and got to march like a Norman soldier. Everybody had loads of fun and this was a great experience.
The Change 4 life team have been using their balance skills in their sessions. On Tuesday 19th November they taught Year 4 and Year 3 pupils how to balance on a big beam. This activity looked fun and the children loved learning.
Last week we held a trial to see if we could have school dinners and packed lunches sitting together because for many years we have had separate tables. We were very excited about it at first but by the end of the week we were used to it and it was very good.
During this term Year 6 and Year 5 have taken part in the Coyne league in which different schools from the North East take part in. So far in the league we have won 8 games and lost one. We got an excellent surprise on Thursday when the South Shields football club came in and talked to us about the season. After that they gave all of the children a ticket to get free entry into the match on 30th November. All of the children were excited.
