Mini Vinnies Advent Prayer Group 2024
As discussed in a previous meeting, the Mini Vinnies decided that they wanted the children in St. Oswald's to feel closer to God during Advent. During our prayer group we listened to Luke 2 1-7 and reflected upon the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem and related this to our own journey through advent to Christmas day. We talked about how Jesus is the light of the world and that we should remember those who are less fortunate than us during this busy time. The children then wrote prayers for their own intentions when thinking about the scripture. The Mini Vinnies hope that we helped children in our school to reflect and think about what is important during this special time of year.
