At our Celebration of the Arts assembly the children from across the school had the chance to showcase their talents. Their dedication and hard work was clear for everyone to see and we were very proud of their performances.
Many thanks to the music teachers who enhance our curriculum as well as to the hard working staff in school.
The ukulele players meet with Mr Turnbull every Monday lunchtime. They are currently learning 2 new festive songs using the chords they know.
Each Tuesday lunchtime Mr Cooke comes into school to teach the children how to play their brass instruments. They are working very hard and making excellent progress!
Mrs Hambling meets with over 20 children who are currently learning how to play the recorder. They meet over Wednesday and Thursday lunch times. They have started to learn the names of the notes and are learning how to blow gently into their instrument.
To all may recorder players.
I just wanted to remind you that you all have your instruments at home and the study book we are using. I hope you can find time in your day to have 10 minutes practise. If you are wanting a little more if a challenge, feel free to look further through the book. Remember the boxes in yellow give you full instructions of what to do.
I look forward to hearing how much you have improved when we come back together.
