Friday 23rd October 2020 - Reception Home Learning

This week's home learning has lots of activities including 3 Phonics activities to choose from with the sounds from this term and a busy animal counting Maths job. There are also lots of suggested fun activities which you may like to do during our Autumn break.

Make sure you have a lovely week at home with lots of muddle puddle jumping, colourful, autumnal walks, having lots of fun and enjoying this lovely time with your families.

Have a fantastic Autumn break Reception and stay safe. Mrs Mallen and I look forward to seeing you and hearing all about your week off when we come back to school.

As always, if you have any questions or queries about the home learning please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you,

Miss Nelson

Friday 16th October 2020 - Home Learning

Hello Reception,

This week we will have two home learning tasks to complete.

Literacy - This week we are continuing our learning about Autumn and finding out more about animals who hibernate. Can you look at books and on the computer with your adult to find out more about animals who hibernate? You can then draw a picture of your animal/s and ask your adult to write down some of the facts you have found out. Remember to take photos of your lovely work and share it on our class stream.

Maths - Can you go on a Numberblock Scavenger Hunt? You can either print the document off attached or make your own Numberblocks. If you would like a trickier challenge - try hiding the numbers up to 10! Take photos of your exciting Numberblock Scavenger Hunt and share your photos on our class stream. Good luck Numberblock Hunters!

If you have any questions about this week's Home Learning, please do not hesitate to ask me.

Thank you,

Miss Nelson

Friday 9th October 2020- Reception Home Learning

Hello Reception!

For this week's home learning we have two jobs to complete.

Phonics - Can you play a game of I Spy using our Phase 2 sounds - s, a, t, p, i, n? If you want a tricky challenge, can you practise writing these sounds? It would be lovely if you could share some of photos of your work on this class stream.

Maths - This week in Maths we will be learning about making repeating patterns. Can you choose one of these pattern challenges? You may like to make a repeating pattern using natural autumnal objects, make a repeating pattern using colours or look at patterns animals have.

Please share photos of your exciting Home Learning on this class stream, Mrs Mallen and I would love to see your hard work.

If you have any questions about this week's Home Learning, please do not hesitate to ask me.

Thank you,

Miss Nelson

Good Morning Reception!

It is so lovely to see there are some children who have joined Google Classroom already.  Miss Nelson will be sharing our weekly Home Learning on Google Classroom and our class website page every Friday.

As the weather is starting to change, the leaves are falling from the trees and there are lots of beautiful colours around... Autumn is here! Over the next few weeks we will be learning all about Autumn and Harvest time. For our Home Learning this week, I would like you to go on an Autumn walk with your family and listen careful to the sounds around you. Can you stomp in crunchy leaves? Can you splash in muddy puddles? Can you hear the wind blowing?

Please share photos or a video of your Autumn walk on this class stream for Miss Nelson, Mrs Mallen and our class to see. I look forward to seeing your super Home Learning throughout the week.

Thank you, Miss Nelson
