Home School Learning

Hello Reception Class,

For this week's Home Learning we are spreading our Christmas sparkle with lots of festive activities. For this week's Home Learning Miss Nelson has set different a challenge for Literacy and Maths.

Literacy - For this week's challenge, you will need to watch this Christmas advert with your adult, choose your favourite part and draw a picture of it. Then, you can either label the picture or write your favourite part. Miss Nelson's favourite part is when the little girl gives the Christmas gift to Edgar the dragon. Advert link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9D-uvKih_k

Maths - For Maths, you will need to get wrapped up warm and go on a Christmas walk or drive in your local area. You will need to look for all of the lovely Christmas decorations on people's houses this year and make a tally of all of the different Christmas objects you see. Once you have finished, you will need to add up all of the tallies and write the number for each. It would be lovely to see photos of you on your festive walk with your family.

I am looking forward to seeing photos of your work. Keep up all of the hard work Reception, you are doing amazing!

If you have any questions or queries about the home learning please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you,

Miss Nelson

Good Morning Reception!

It is so lovely to see there are some children who have joined Google Classroom already.  Miss Nelson will be sharing our weekly Home Learning on Google Classroom and our class website page every Friday.

As the weather is starting to change, the leaves are falling from the trees and there are lots of beautiful colours around... Autumn is here! Over the next few weeks we will be learning all about Autumn and Harvest time. For our Home Learning this week, I would like you to go on an Autumn walk with your family and listen careful to the sounds around you. Can you stomp in crunchy leaves? Can you splash in muddy puddles? Can you hear the wind blowing?

Please share photos or a video of your Autumn walk on this class stream for Miss Nelson, Mrs Mallen and our class to see. I look forward to seeing your super Home Learning throughout the week.

Thank you, Miss Nelson
