Autumn Term 2019

Castle Keep

Year 2 enjoyed their visit to The Keep in Newcastle. First they learned what qualities a knight needs before taking part in ‘Knight School Training’. Next they enjoyed finding the castle’s medieval gatehouse, the Black Gate and climbing over 150 stairs to reach the tower roof where they could see the spectacular views of Newcastle.

 

“I enjoyed seeing the bridges from the top of the roof!” said Blake.

 

“I enjoyed learning how to hold a shield” said Alfie.

My favourite part was learning where prisoners found out what their punishment was!” said Molly.
