For our final week at Nursery this half term we have continued learning about the season of Autumn. We have been able to spend a lot of time in our Forest School exploring the environment and using what we have found in our learning and play! Maybe you could use some of our ideas at home during the half term!
This week in our Nursery we have been celebrating Harvest! We have learned that Harvest happens in the Autumn, following our Autumn walk! We enjoyed the story of The Little Red Hen story, about making bread dough, practicing our cutting skills by chopping vegetables and building scarecrows! What a busy week!
Goldilocks and the Three Bears
This week we have been reading the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
This week we have been learning about straight lines. We have made our bodies straight and tall, we have waved scarves to make straight lines, we have chalked straight lines and today we have been using paintbrushes and water to paint long, straight lines in our outside area. Can you find any straight lines at home?
Time to Shine
This week we have been thinking about our faces. We took selfies, we looked at our faces in the mirror, we drew our faces, we used play dough and collage materials to make faces, and we made biscuits with facial features.
We noticed that all of our faces are unique, and that we are all special gifts from God.
